The Point is delighted to announce that we have a new management team as of Summer 2024. Our team is committed to bringing you the best in local radio, with a focus on engaging content for listeners over 45 in Milton Keynes.

Darren-420Darren Dorrington – CEO 

Darren Dorrington is no stranger to local radio in Milton Keynes. He was the former CEO of MKFM, where he played a vital role in bringing local radio back to the area. Following MKFM’s trial broadcast in 2011, Darren helped secure a full-time license for MKFM and funded the launch of the station on DAB Digital Radio in 2013.

Under Darren's leadership, MKFM became the most-listened-to local radio station in Milton Keynes. Now at The Point, Darren is focused on establishing a local radio station that caters to listeners over 45 in Milton Keynes.

Matt-420Matt Cadman – Director

Matt Cadman is one of the most experienced individuals in local radio. He previously founded his own stations, including Vibe 107.6 in Watford and Lite Radio in Surrey. Matt was also a director at MKFM until 2017 and possesses extensive knowledge of our city.

In addition to setting up and managing stations, Matt’s experience includes producing high-profile shows for the BBC and presenting numerous programs on stations in our region.

Simeon-420Simeon Jackson – Commercial Director

Simeon Jackson has held several high-profile positions in Milton Keynes, including leading major parts of MK’s 50th Birthday celebrations. He has also run multiple businesses and, more recently, has headed marketing for major blue-chip companies and organisations such as the NHS.

With extensive B2B experience and local knowledge, Simeon leads our advertising and digital media department and manages all our commercial relationships. He can be contacted via email at sj@mkcitymedia.com.

She will work diligently to ensure that every facet of The Point, from our programming to our internal culture, mirrors the vibrant diversity of our community. Her mission is to create a space where every listener and team member feels heard, valued, and celebrated.
