Milton Keynes Launches Festival of Cycling - March 15th to 30th
March 15th to 30thMilton Keynes City Council, in collaboration with Cycling Citizens and Mayor Cllr Marie Bradburn, has announced a new Festival of Cycling, taking place from March 15th to 30th. The festival aims to promote cycling throughout the city with a variety of free and engaging activities.
The festival schedule includes:
- March 15-23: Ride Anywhere Week (sign up at www.lovetoride.net)
- March 24-April 4: Big Walk and Wheel to School
- March 27: Bike Register Marking, Midsummer Place in CMK by the bike racks
- March 27: Follow The Rabbit ride, Unity Place (Station Square entrance)
- March 28: Gentle Social Women’s Ride at Willen Lake
- March 30: Parks Trust Parks and Ride, Campbell Park

A highlight of the festival is a photography competition featuring four categories, each with a £25 Freewheel voucher prize, courtesy of Madison Cycles.
- Find the Mayor: Capture Mayor Bradburn cycling somewhere in Central Milton Keynes between March 15th and 30th.
- Wheelie Good: Share a selfie, short video, or photo of yourself and loved ones enjoying cycling in MK’s parks.
- Follow the Rabbit: Photograph or film the Mayor following a giant rabbit on a bike around MK on March 27th.
- Instaworthy: Showcase your photographic skills by submitting a photo of an inspiring MK cycling location or subject.
