The Iconic City of Codes and Light Festival Returns to Milton Keynes
The renowned City of Codes and Light Festival, hosted by the Milton Keynes Islamic Arts & Culture Organisation (MKIAC), makes its return from Wednesday 2nd October to Saturday 5th October.
This year’s festival delves into the fascinating intersection of artificial intelligence, art, science, and technology through a variety of immersive learning activities, interactive workshops, and stimulating symposiums.
The event will culminate on Saturday evening with a breath taking projection on the MK Central Library by Limbic Cinema, followed by the Electric Drummers leading the Parade of Lights, featuring Eva the Polar Bear, a giant mechanical puppet. The grand finale will be an exhilarating 'Theatre in the Sky' display by the world-renowned drone art show company Celestial, accompanied by the electrifying sounds of Jimi Needles & the Club Classics Orchestra at Campbell Park.
Through this captivating blend of art, light, and technology, the festival celebrates the beauty of nature’s engineering and human creativity, showcasing how these forces combine to inspire fresh perspectives.
The festival also aligns with the Milton Keynes AI Festival (29th October - 1st November 2024), as part of the first anniversary celebrations of the World’s First AI Safety Summit, held at Bletchley Park last year.
